haha. i know i touched briefly on the sava sprints international 2oo6, but i just wanted to elaborate a little bit more.. sava was an international event with teams from the phillipines, indonesia, penang, hongkong, thailand, malaysia, and of course, singapore. the phillipines team were really strong; especially the camarines sur. they clocked the BEST timing for 2oom, 5oom and of course 1ooom super cup. wah laos. if only you could have seen them!! 2oom they literally charged all the way.. their speed and stroke rate never decreased; only increased all the way! and their 5oom stroke rate was like our 2oom stroke rate (which is considered fast).. and 1km race... woah. they trashed the other teams by at least 3 - 4 boats. imagine larhs, when they crossed the finishing line, the 2nd place hadn't even reached the last 5om mark.. don't talk about the rest. gosh. sat was the 2oom races. mixed team a won the plate finals, womens' team a lost to the first in the plate finals (canadian dragons) by only one second, men's team got 5th in the grand finals. sun was the 5oom races. mixed team a and women's team got into the grand finals, coming in 5th and 6th respectively. men's team lost out in the semis. there was a lot of drama in that 2 days alone, but then again, which competition doesn't? i guess it just added on to the "spice" of the past 2 days. it was really something that i would never forget.. we managed to get into the semis by luck, and we made it to the grands! so what if we didn't get into plate finals and won the gold plate? at least we ended up in the grands..... in case i lost you somewhere in the plate and grand finals, i'm just gona explain. top 3 in each heats will proceed to the semis. bottom 3 in the heats will proceed to repecharge (only for 2oom). top 3 in repecharge will proceeed to the semis. yeah. so top 3 in semis will go into grand finals, bottom 3 will go into plate finals. understooded? ahahhaha. =D yupps. that's all for sava. next one : singapore river regetta. ps. you guys'd better be there for regetta since it'll be during ya hols or i'll drag u there. personally. ahahahaha. =D |
