there's a price to pay for everything. i took a break from being who i really am, who i'm really supposed to be. i tried being someone i'm not, someone i wanted desperately to be....
but the truth always catches up with you..
it all didn't work out in the end.. (or so it appears.) isn't that good? it shows that i wasn't meant to be whoever i wanted to be.. but now that i'm not who i used to be, i can't go back to being who i was... can i?
please.. please.. please.... can i have a few more weeks? a few more weeks of blessed ignorance, of gullible naivety, of childish/immature idealism?
i don't wana be the cynic, the skeptic, the realistic, MATURED person i used to be. matured. how i hate the word.... yet how it pleases me to be called matured.
sighs.
truth is, you let me be someone i wana be, but don't dare, but can't, be. you let me be all the things i wished i could, but never got a chance to, be.
so, i'm split. on one hand, there's the old me... and on the other, there's the new me.
but with the way things are now going..... i'm caught right smack in the middle.
sighs.
i promise to face it after.... just not now. please.
the countdown has begun.

| 'please don't stop the music 1:26 am |
now playing :
|
|
| song of my life. |
Past the point of no return -
no backward glances:
the games we've played
till now are at an end.
Past all thought of "if"
or "when" -
no use resisting:
abandon thought,
and let the dream descend . . .

My goals in life include being a professional slacker, wasting as much of my time, life and intelligence away, sleeping a minimum of 12 hours everyday, being a successful bum, and maybe, possibly,
someone you could bring home to meet mom with.
