the four levels.
thinking. wondering. musing. reminiscing.
well, they just randomly popped into my head one day, outta nowhere. it's weird, really. i was just going through the motions of life, letting my thoughts drift - i think i was bathing. hah. - and well, it just popped to mind. the four stages of....... now this's a good one. i have no idea of what. i think it's forgetting something? hmmm. okay see, first is thinking. when for example, you're trying to forget a person, that person would initially be constantly in your thoughts. as hard as you try not to think about him/her, that's the way it is. it's just there, lurking around, waiting for the chance to jump out and jolt you back to reality - and despair, of course. haha. then you have the next stage: wondering. you know the cliched phrase "can't help but wonder"? yuuuuup. this is when you've finally managed to stop consciously thinking about it, BUT it's still stuck there in your subconscious, ready to catch you unawares and make you feel horribly sad/depressed. so... third would be.... musing. well. you're more or less over, and you've stopped thinking about that person both consciously and unconsciously. yet once in a while, when something occurs to remind you about him/her, you tend to 'contemplate deeply' about whatever happened: if things had been different, if you guys had worked out, if this, if that.......... as for the last, reminiscing. it'd be when you've finally finally gotten over everything, and you're able to recall those memories and think of them as just that: memories; nothing more, nothing less....
and i'm still working on it...

| song of my life. |
Past the point of no return -
no backward glances:
the games we've played
till now are at an end.
Past all thought of "if"
or "when" -
no use resisting:
abandon thought,
and let the dream descend . . .

My goals in life include being a professional slacker, wasting as much of my time, life and intelligence away, sleeping a minimum of 12 hours everyday, being a successful bum, and maybe, possibly,
someone you could bring home to meet mom with.
