so much has happened in just a few short weeks... or perhaps month would be a better word. i don't remember much about the past month, but it seems i've done quite a bit? everything seems to have passed me by without really sinking in... takes a LOT of concentration, time, mind and will power just to remember what i did a week ago.
kinda like when you get lost in a fog, i guess... you walk on and on, trying to find your way... you can't see anything and it seems like you've been walking and walking and walking for ages, but you don't know for sure. the line between reality and illusion is no longer clear... all of a sudden something looms up at you out of the mist.. it could be a lamp post, a mail box, a bench, anything... you stop, stare, feel it just to convince yourself it's real, and then walk on past it... when you turn back, it's gone. swallowed up by the mist... so you turn back and continue wandering around aimlessly... next thing you know, you trip on the curb. you look down and try to figure out where you are... you know it's naggingly familiar, on the tip of recognition, yet your mind just can't place it... you shrug, think what the hell, and move on.... after the second or third time that happens, you just cannot be bothered anymore... you're on auto. by the fifth, sixth time, you don't remember what you've passed by, what happened... only that all you can see is white mist stretching on for what seems like forever in all directions; all you can sense is damp coldness pressing in on you; all you can feel are your legs getting more and more tired with every step you take because it feels like you've been walking forever; and you know that you're on the brink of exhaustion, but you can't quite seem to bring yourself to care.........................
at least that's what i think walking in a fog is like. hmmmm. not bad, huh? hah.

| 'please don't stop the music 4:53 am |
now playing :
|
|
| song of my life. |
Past the point of no return -
no backward glances:
the games we've played
till now are at an end.
Past all thought of "if"
or "when" -
no use resisting:
abandon thought,
and let the dream descend . . .

My goals in life include being a professional slacker, wasting as much of my time, life and intelligence away, sleeping a minimum of 12 hours everyday, being a successful bum, and maybe, possibly,
someone you could bring home to meet mom with.
